1. The Rechev Platform

Rechev (“we,” “our,” or “platform”) operates Hyderabad's trusted self-drive car rental and host fleet marketplace. We provide the technology connecting verified Guests seeking quality rental vehicles with verified Hosts and Fleet Partners.

By accessing our website, creating an account, or completing a reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Cancellation Policy.

2. Driver Eligibility & KYC Verification

To maintain vehicle safety and legal compliance under the Motor Vehicles Act, all Guests must satisfy the following criteria prior to vehicle delivery:

• Minimum Age: The driver must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driving License: An original, government-issued Driving License for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) held for at least 1 year. Learner permits are strictly ineligible.
• Identity Proof: Valid Aadhaar card, Passport, or Voter ID matching the name on the driving license.
• Verification Selfie: A live selfie taken during checkout or profile setup for physical identity matching.

All KYC records are verified by authorized Rechev operations personnel. Any attempt to present forged, altered, or impersonated documents results in immediate booking termination with zero refund, a permanent platform ban, and reporting to civil authorities.

3. Refundable Security Deposit & Collateral

To secure the vehicle against incidental damage, unpaid tolls, or traffic violations, Guests must provide one of the following security options prior to vehicle handover:

• Cashless Security Deposit: A refundable deposit of ₹10,000 paid via digital payment / UPI / pre-authorization.
• Two-Wheeler Collateral: Alternatively, the Guest may deposit an approved two-wheeler (scooter or motorcycle) along with its original Registration Certificate (RC) at the host/hub location for the duration of the rental.

Deposit Release: Monetary security deposits are processed for release within 24 to 48 hours following vehicle return, once physical post-trip inspection and police traffic e-challan checks are completed. Two-wheeler collateral is returned immediately upon satisfactory vehicle return.

4. Booking, Fuel, Fastag & Delivery

• Fuel Policy (Same-to-Same): The vehicle is delivered with a recorded fuel level noted on the handover inspection sheet. The Guest must return the vehicle with the exact same fuel level. If returned with less fuel, the differential cost plus a ₹250 refueling fee will be deducted from the security deposit. No refunds are given for excess fuel returned.
• Fastag & Toll Charges: All Rechev vehicles are equipped with active NHAI Fastag tags. Toll charges and airport parking fees incurred during the booking period are the sole liability of the Guest and will be reconciled upon trip return or deducted from the deposit.
• Traffic Challans & Violations: The Guest is 100% liable for all traffic citations, red-light jumps, overspeeding fines, and illegal parking challans issued during their rental window.
• Doorstep Delivery: Delivery and pickup are available across Hyderabad at transparent, distance-based rates displayed during checkout.

5. Handover Inspection & Damage Liability

At the start and conclusion of every rental trip, the Guest and Host/Rechev executive must conduct a joint physical inspection:

• 360° Photo & Video Walkaround: Date-stamped exterior photographs, tire tread/sidewall inspection, interior cleanliness, odometer reading, and fuel gauge status must be recorded before drive-away.
• Damage Liability: The Guest is liable for any new scratches, dents, cracked glass, tire sidewall cuts, or interior burns/spills occurring during their rental window.
• Insurance Deductible: In the event of an unforeseen collision covered by comprehensive commercial insurance, the Guest is responsible for the standard insurance claim deductible (typically ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 depending on vehicle class), provided all terms of safe operation were observed.

6. Speed Limits & Prohibited Uses

Guest safety and vehicle longevity are paramount. The following conditions strictly apply:

• Speed Limit: Vehicles have a maximum regulated speed limit of 100 km/h (120 km/h on notified access-controlled expressways where permitted). Continuous overspeeding incurs safety fines and engine governor deactivation.
• Permitted Geographic Boundaries: Rental vehicles may be operated throughout Telangana and neighboring states with prior notification and valid inter-state permits. Off-roading, river crossings, and unpaved terrain driving are strictly prohibited.
• Prohibited Conduct: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, sub-leasing or commercial taxi use, carrying hazardous materials, racing, or permitting unauthorized third parties to drive is strictly prohibited and voids all insurance protections.

7. Cancellation & Refund Schedule

Trip cancellations, modifications, and refunds are governed strictly by our Cancellation Policy.

Approved refunds are processed through our payment gateway (Razorpay) back to the original source account (UPI, card, or bank account) within 5 to 7 business days.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of Rechev services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
